For Girls Camp this year our whole group was able to go to Nevada and canoe down the Colorado River starting at the Hoover Dam. We went down the river about half way, stopped and camped over night, and then went the rest of the way the next day. It was amazing! We left on a wednesday and went down just outside of Las Vegas and stayed in a hotel/casino. We woke up early the next day because we had to launch on the river by 7 am. Once we got to our camp site, we pitched tents, prepared dinner, and did lots of cliff jumping. And they sure did catch a gem of me jumping haha. We had devotionals morning and night, we sang, we played games, and we laughed until my face hurt.
After we left the river we headed back to condos in St. George and spent the night there. These two girls were other leaders, the one in the middle is our Camp Director, and I am her assistant camp director. These girls made this trip a girl's trip, combined with Girls Camp, and it was such a great reprieve from nursing school. I had the best time!

We also spent Pioneer Day down in Fairview with my family, watching the parade and watching the Derby

Idaho Boat Races 2015
We were able to go to the Reggatta Boat races this year with my family. We have been able to go for the past couple years, so we were super excited to go. The boys had a good time, and they loved swimming in the snake river, and at the pool. I have no pictures of that of course, but I did get a few!
Jace turned 2 while we were there so we went and got him some cupcakes and ice cream and had a little party for him.

Swimming Lessons
Kallan took beginner's swimming lessons at the beginning of the summer. He was a Mantis Shrimp. He had them every day for two weeks, and he loved them. He wasn't scared of the water, so hopefully it will stay that way.
He had to go under water to get out from the hula hoop. He loved doing this, and I like that he didn't use his hands to plug his nose to go under water.
At the end of the lesson, he got to jump to his instructor and this was his favorite part. He kept telling the instructor to back up so he could jump out farther.

Fishing at Strawberry Reservoir
We went to Strawberry this year again for Buck's work fishing luncheon. We look forward to this every year and usually don't miss it. Kallan was super stoked to cast and reel his own pole the whole time. A good time was had by all, especially the fish, because we didn't catch a single on of them. :)
Family Pictures 2014
I try to get our family pictures taken every other fall, instead of every year, because we're still adding to our little family. I just loved how they turned out this year!!
The boys of course wanted nothing to do with it, but we still ended up with some good ones!!

Zoorassic Park at Hogle Zoo
We were able to find a weekend to take the boys up to the zoo this summer to see the dinosaurs they had for Zoorassic Park this year. I remember my grandma taking me to Hogle Zoo when I was like 9 or 10 to see the dinosaurs and she bought me a t-shirt. I remember loving it so much, that when I heard they were doing the dinosaurs again, it was a must-go! And besides, I like dinosaurs just as much as the next nerd or kid :) Buck kept telling me that I was more excited to see them than our boys were, and he might have been right. I was geeking out over all of them, and they all looked amazing.
They had cool little dinosaur spots placed throughout the park for the kids, and in some places next to dinosaurs they had employees standing there to answer any questions and give you awesome facts about the dinosaur species you were looking at. So cool.
Haha I laugh at this picture because Kallan it starting to not like getting his picture taken. (Thanks daddy) so I had to bribe him to smile.
The dinosaurs were so lifelike, and moved and roared and everything. This T-Rex was life size they said!
It wasn't too hot, with nice cloud cover but no rain. A perfect day for the zoo.
