2008
1) Getting married. Ashby est. :)
2) Our Honeymoon in Hawaii. We spent a whole week on Ohau and did almost everything a tourist there could do
3) We had our very first flower garden, in which we planted, weeded, watered and took care of it ourselves. And when I say 'we' I mean Buck, but I didn't kill them.
4) I was able to go through Fire school thanks to PGFD
5)Buck got a brand new bow to go deer hunting with
6) I didn't wreck any vehicles for an entire year! (I took out a bank drive through post with the back right end of my car the other day but that was in 2009 so I'm good)
7) We were able to go to Oregon and go to the Medford Temple with everyone in Buck's immediate family meeting a goal that his mom set 23 years ago
8) We were able to meet Wesley Silcox, a famous Pro-Bull Rider, in person, and even get his autograugh (Buck was stoked)
9) We were able to go to the Regatta boat races in Burley, Idaho
10) We ate the biggest hamburger in the world from Big Jud's. A whole 2 pounds of beef with everthing on it the size of a dinner plate
11) We were able to ride horses for the first time since Buck has been home from his mission, thanks to our aweseom friends Rory and Trina :)
12) We got a new car (which I drive) and Buck got an '86 toyota 4runner that looks like it came from the junk yard and all the other vehicles in the yard picked on it and made fun of this truck and maybe even threw things at it. But it's Buck's baby, bless his heart. He LOVES it :) Which makes it worth it. :)
13) I started blogging! And I love it and am addicted I think :)
Now for 2009
These are my goals/resolutions for this year:
1) Try not to swear. (I'm the daughter of a coalminer) I don't say the really bad swear words, just the common ones :(
2) Stop Procrastinatinnnnnnnng. I'm horrible. I put things off, and off, and off till sometimes they don't even get done or I miss deadlines. Thank goodness for automatic withdrawl or our bills would always be late. This post has acutually been in progress since the 5th. Not anymore though!
3) Self Awareness. In the past whenever I've set goals like 'lose weight' or 'workout more' yeah these goals never work for me. They might for like a week and that's it. So, I've set this goal to be aware of myself. Aware of what I'm eating, what I'm doing, what I could be doing, push myself, etc. I want to be aware of how I treat my body and take care of it. Eat better, be more active, things like that. Buck and I have planned lots of hiking trips this summer and bike rides, lots of outdoor good physical activities. So anyone who wants to join us let us know!
4) Cook more :). Poor Buck. I never learned as a girl how to cook well. I caught my kitchen on fire when I was 14 years old. Why? Oh because I put a pitcher of water on a grease fire. I was making french fries, put oil in a pan and then put it on HIGH and walked away talking on the phone and forgot about it. So when there was 2 feet of flames coming off the pan I proceeded to put it out with a pitcher of water. Hmmm...we shouldn't tell my fire chief this...
Point being, I hardly ever cook. Buck's mom is an amazing cook and taught him really well. He teaches me new things all the time and I love to cook with him. The girls I work with have been giving me their recipies and it's so much fun. So I made it a goal, so my kids wont starve :)
I know it's a short list, and I'll probably add to it here and there as the year goes on. I'm really excited for what this year has to offer. We're planning many trips, our first anniversary is coming up, I'm so excited for summer I can't see straight...and there's still so many firsts to come for Buck and I, lots of surprises, and blessings. I really need to end this post, because who really wants to read all this on blog? Ha it's more for me than anyone so if you quit reading way up there, I don't even blame you. Happy 2009 everyone :)

Ha ha.. I totally remember your grease fire, and the big black mark on your floor and ceiling from it!! Thats hilarious!
Trust you to run into a bank post!!! I swear you have the worst luck with cars. Sounds like you have a great year ahead of you though ;)
What a cute post...I'm horrible at setting and following through with goals for the new year:( At least you are attempting it! My main goal will be losing all my baby fat....ahhhhh, so not looking forward to getting fat and then having to lose it! Looks like you had a good Christmas and a happy new year! Keep in touch
I love the self awareness part...might have to copy you on that one! Good work... and good luck!
I am the same way with goals I set. I have the worst follow-through. But so far in 2009, I have been doing good. We'll see how long that lasts :) Good luck with all of yours.
I love the year recap!!! I gave up on setting goals this year :D
