Found!!

My ring was found!! It wasn't stolen, (which I feel bad for even thinking that now) it was in fact in the fire truck. The night I lost it I sent out an email to everyone in the department saying that I had lost it and if they happened to see it then if they would return it or let me know or whatever. Well, being the awesome people they are, each shift while they were on duty looked for it for me in the truck. B shift realized that the seats could be pretty easily taken out so they un-screwed and took out one of the seats and low and behold it was under there! The best part: so we had department training tonight and when we first got there at 7 PM my chief had everyone write down there names and put them in a hat for a drawing for a prize give-away at the end of training. So we finish up with all the slides and stuff and then Chief does the drawing. I'm thinking, I never win anything so he wont pull out my name. Well, he did. He opens a piece of paper and calls out my name. I said, "No way, I never win anything, you didn't pull out my name." and he was like, "Look it's right here. You won." So I walk up there and he gives me this box that's about the size of a small pizza box wrapped in newspaper and everyone in the room was acting curious because we've never done drawings for prizes at training meetings before. So they all tell me to open it up so they can see what it is and when I lifted the lid, there sat my long lost, cried, sulked, moped, and despaired over wedding ring. Haha it was so awesome. I dropped the box down and turned at walked straight back to my Chief and was gonna climb over the desk to hug him. He told me it was B shift who had looked and found it so there were hugs all around. Can I just tell you how happy I am?? And how appreciative I am that I have such awesome co-workers and friends at the department??? Ok so sorry about the last 'poor me' post, but I really did feel terrible.

P.S. Thanks for all your supportive comments :)
P.S.S. I'm calling my jeweler first thing in the morning to cancel the re-make of my ring :)

yay! I am so glad you found it! What a fun way for them to give it back too :) I have a friend who lost her wedding ring at the bottom of Utah lake. It's great you have pictures of your ring that you could have had it redone. Hooray for good friends!
