This year for our Christmas date, we went up to Zoo Lights at Hogle Zoo. We loved it! We still love Temple Square, but it was kinda fun to venture a little this year. The lights there were so cute and entertaining, and we didn't even have any kids with us. All of the lights lit up in sequences so it looked like the light animals were moving. And they had all the trees lit up and the coolest things out to decorate. Not very many live animals were out but it was okay because the light animals were just as fun. Before we got to the zoo we went to Cabelas to eat. (I know, that's where we go on dates to, we're total rednecks; see toilet seat below) but it was fun to eat there and do some last minute Christmas shopping :)
If you bought this souvenier Zoo thermus (below) then you got all you can drink hot chocolate the whole time you were there. I was all over that. We got like 4 or 5 refills because I was freezing. And I love the thermus!
