Re-cap 2010

Wow. The end of another year, and as every one else seems to say, I don't know where the time has gone.  All in all it was a very successful and eventful year for Buck and I.  You don't have to keep reading any of this, this is just my re-cap of 2010 of all the highlights for the BlogBook.

It started off pretty typical with both of us just in our usual routine of working and going to school.  We started talking about moving forward in our lives and what our five year plan was and we decided that we will be living in Utah for a few years still and didn't want to throw away any more money on renting an apartment, and at close to 2 years of marriage we had out-grown our little basement apartment.  So we started the process of buying a house.  I was so scared! I always get nervous when it comes to being a grown-up but Buck was so ready and on the ball with everything that next thing I knew we were looking at home after home with a realtor. Crazy.  We spent about 3 months looking at different homes in the area almost every day, finally finding one, we closed on our first home in Springville on March 31, and moved in the first week in April.  We celebrated our 2nd Anniversary by going to Las Vegas and seeing The Phantom of the Opera, sitting on the front row.

We started a total re-model of our new house, involving all new electrical in the entire upstairs, framing the exterior walls, insulating them, putting all new sheetrock in, moved a wall and took out a couple walls entirely, made the bathroom bigger, built a new closet, got new carpet, and still pending a brand new kitchen.  Buck got a brand new blue healer puppy named Keg.

Buck's truck got stolen only 3 weeks after living here, and then the police found it 2 days later.  We ran our first half marathon in June.  We got pregnant in July, and found out in August.  Poor Buck got skunked out of getting a deer during the bow hunt again .  We went to Seattle for my sister-in-law's wedding and to Las Vegas with my parents both in September.   We told my parents they were going to be grandparents for the first time ever and found out we were having a boy in October. We went home to Oregon for Thanksgiving and had my first baby shower from my wonderful inlaws in November. And in December, for Christmas and to ring in the new year my whole family went to Disneyland on vacation as our Christmas gift from my parents this year.
We've been so blessed with such a busy, successful and eventful year, and we can't wait for this new year to come and what it has to offer.  Both mine and Buck's lives are about to change drastically come April, and things will never again be the same.  But as scared as we are, we're also excited and welcoming of all the changes and challenges a baby will bring.
