Gender Reveal

So many of you may know already that Buck and I are expecting another baby. I haven't blogged anything about this baby yet just because I was waiting to see what we were having so we could have a little gender reveal party. I'm 18 weeks along today and due June 19th, 2013. Last week when I was almost 17 weeks we went and did an ultrasound to see what we're having but we didn't find out during the scan. Only my younger sister Alora knew. So we went back to my mom's and she went to work making us a cake dyed either pink or blue based on what the baby is obviously. (Yes the idea came from Pinterest) So here we are pictured below about to cut into it and find out what we're having.

So I slice into the cake and immediately see the light pink color...
And I start freaking out. Pink. Girl. Bows. Ribbons. Dresses. Drama. Pink. I was in shock, but a good shock, I was sincerely pleased and excited, and surprised because my motherly intuition had been screaming that it was a boy. Please notice Buck's face in the picture below. He was terrified.
Then after everyone was laughing, my mom says, "Alright, now bring out the real cake." Real cake? I instantly got it.  They had scammed us!! Not pink, bows, dresses, and drama but blue, trucks, balls, overalls and dirt.  My sister handed me a cupcake that was very blue on the inside. I felt a moment's disappointment that was completely dissolved with happiness within seconds. I love little boys obviously and it's what we both wanted next anyway so it was still happy and exciting. Notice Buck's face now in the below pic :)

So another little boy it is. Brothers. I'm beyond excited and it' goes without saying how happy Buck is. Although we do want girls as well, we're excited to have two boys together.  Some might be wondering why my family would trick us like that and I will tell you. If you remember when I was pregnant with Kallan, I didn't tell any of them until I was 16 weeks along and I pretented like I was sick with appendicitis so when I got checked by ultrasound they saw it was a baby instead of an appy, we tricked them first. All in all it was good fun and we're just happy to be having another baby.
We're super excited to become a family of four!
