Mother's Day 2013

Mother's day was absolutely fabulous this year.  I woke up to Buck trying to prepare breakfast for me, and giving me some decor for my newly finished kitchen.  Then he went out to his truck and brought in a box of Krispy Kremes! (So bad, but so good!) And I got the cutest card and some flowers from my little monkey man. We started the day off by going to church and hearing some really good talks and lessons. Feeling spiritually fed, we came home and put monster to bed for a 2 hour nap, during which me and Buck prepared BBQ pulled pork sandwhiches with baked beans and pasta salad for my Mother's Day dinner. Superb.

Afterwards we went out into our backyard and I sat and watched the little terror who made me a mother explore and play and just be crazy. It was perfect

He's so animated and loves to perform. I just kept snapping pics of the many faces he makes

Then after it cooled down we went to the park to swing, because this little monster LOVES the swings.
We came home and topped the day off with sitting in our backyard around our fire pit, enjoying the beautiful evening and roasting marshmellows and made s'mores.  Then we put Kallan to bed and snuggled up to a movie.  I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. I love being a mom so much and yesterday I felt so loved and so grateful to have a crazy little toddler and another who'll be here soon! Such an amazing calling in life and I'm so grateful it's mine :)

Your little guy is serious the cutest thing, he has such great features and an adorable face. Sounds like the perfect mothers day.
