2014 Review

2014 in Review:
January:
We started off 2014 really low key, and basically free. Meaning I still had lots of free time. I spent it playing with my boys, who were just starting to interact with one another and be friends. This was also the month that Buck and I did the Paleo challenge. We did an entire month of Paleo eating, to see if we like it, and how we felt while doing it. It was harder, and took more time and prep work, but we really liked it. We want to do it again, but we've been saying that for a year. Besides, isn't January the month where most diets are started? And failed even? Maybe, maybe not. But I really liked eating Paleo.

 February:
This is the month of one of my favorite holidays: Valentine's Day. I love making it fun and cheesy. I spent the day with all of my Valentines, and at the end of the month, Kallan was fully potty trained.
We also went to Monster Jam at the end of the month, and Kallan absolutely loved it!

Kallan's face when he saw the Monster Trucks

March:
This month was similar to February, we had lots of time and did whatever we wanted, and spent lots of time with the boys. Buck even went fishing quite a bit.
 April:
This month we celebrated our 6th Anniversary, and we were able to take one night away from everything and run up to Park City. We went to dinner, stayed over night in a hotel, and zipped back home. Short and sweet, but totally worth it.
We celebrated Easter out at the Sand Dunes, camping.
And my crazy little man turned 3. We had a birthday party for him and everything and he loved it.
 May:
This month, I said goodbye to all my freedom, and started school in the Nursing Program at Provo College on May 12th. Like I said, with all my free time gone and devoted to studying, we spent a lot of time outstide, and got ready for summer to come. I also went out on my very first turkey hunt. We didn't even see one bird

The boys loved being outside, in the dirt.

June:
This little Tiny turned one! We had a small family party for him and just enjoyed him. The rest of the month we just spent outside, and studying.
 July:
July was spent trying to do fun summer activities outside, soaking up sun and playing every day. Each morning, Kallan would wake up, get dresses, and go straight outside and ride his bike. I still had school, so Buck spent a lot of time with the boys. We did however get to celebrate the 4th and the 24th of July holidays, and that was so much fun. We even were able to have a few date nights and went to as many rodeos as we could. This picture below is crazy to me, it makes Buck look like he's 25 again, when I first met him
 August:
We barely had any chances to go camping, but we did get one full weekend trip in. The boys loved it.

We celebrated Buck's 33rd birthday, by getting out and having a date night, and doing whatever he wanted.
 September:
I celebrated my 29th birthday, and Buck got me my own muzzleloader, for my very first hunt the following month. We spent any free time I had from school, shooting it and siting it in. We also got our family pictures taken, as my birthday present. I loved how they turned out.

The end of September held the one single week of my muzzleloader hunt. We went out as much as my school schedule would allow. We saw some Bucks but still ended up getting skunked. It was still fun to go out though
 October:
My little brother finally married his girlfriend of forever, and we had another wedding in the family.
 Kallan was the ring boy
We spent what little free time I had going to Jaker's Pumpkin patch, carving pumpkins, playing outstide, and had a fun Halloween. I didn't have any time to make our costumes, so this is what was thrown together last minute, but it worked haha
 November:
We started this month off with Tiny Man finally deciding to stand up and walk. He bum scooted for over 6 months, and took his sweet time. But he loves walking and is a pro now.
We spent Thanksgiving in Utah, which was weird because we have spent the last 4 Thanksgivings in Oregon. It was still really fun though, and we all had a good time with family. This month was busy and stressful with school, due to finals and clinicals. We also made a quick weekend trip up to Idaho Falls, to see Buck's parents' new house, right before thanksgiving.
 December:
When this month finally came, I was elated. I finished with finals at the beginning of December, and have had more than a month off from school. I was free again, and we packed this month full of activities. One of my goals while I was off was to get all caught up on my blogging, and with this last post, I succeeded. It was so nice to just get to be home, and get ready for Christmas, and spend Christmas with my family. We had something going on every weekend and almost every night, but it was still fun, and stress free for me. We saw Santa, we built a gingerbread house, we went and drove through the Spanish Fork lights, we watched movies, played games, slept in, shopped, went to parties, played with friends, ate way too much, and even found time to relax and veg. It was such a good month.
This year has been good, but tough, and full of trials. I know that there are many out there struggling way more than us (my sister-in-law's family for instance, and my friend Char) but our biggest trial we have ever had was faced this past year, and we are still facing it, and enduring. We've learned a lot however, and have been strengthened, which is exactly what trials are meant for. If there wasn't hardship, struggle, learning, and growth, then it could hardly be called a trial. Despite the stress of being in school, which has affected the entire family, and the major trial we are going through, we are doing just that. Going. Moving forward, and looking ahead of us. 2015 holds basically what 2014 did for us. Another 8 months of school, and I feel that that is the easy part. School is planned, and set, and I know what our plan is going to be until August. Once I graduate however, that's when it gets scary, but also exciting. We don't know where we are going to go once I graduate. We have talked about many options, and have made several plans. It all depends on Him however, and we will go wherever it is we are supposed to go. I don't even know where to start applying for jobs, and there might be another baby joining our family before this year is over. (No, I am not pregnant right now.) I am ready for this year, but especially nervous for the last quarter of it. I feel a lot more trials coming on. It's okay though, because along with trials, come blessings, and sweet tender mercies that we otherwise would not get to have. Welcome 2015, and here's to hoping I pass and graduate from nursing school.
