We took two days to get there because it's a gruesome 13 hour drive out there. We left on thursday afternoon and got into Tahoe around midnight to Buck's Aunt Kelly's house. Aunt Kelly and Randy are seriously some of the nicest people I know, along with the rest of Buck's family. She was such a great host, we slept in a nice bed in her super nice cozy cabin home, and made us a big steak and eggs breakfast. We had to leave sooner that we wanted to but not before promising to visit again, and we're going out to visit them in their other home in the Florida Keys. We then drove another 4 ish hours to where Buck's grandma lives and she took us out to lunch. I love her. She gave us so much fresh fruit and veggies, she's just awesome. We couldn't stay long there either so we got on the road again for another 4 hours to Fort Bragg.
Fort Bragg is an awesome little fishing town. It's where the movie "Overboard" was filmed with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. We went to 2 different beaches, and the water was freezing! It was only like 50 degrees in the water and 65 degrees in the air, but it was okay because we still got in and had a good time, finding tons of sand dollars and starfish. We ate out, went shopping, all the guys went out on a chartered fishing boat where they dropped crab pots and fished. There were six guys on the boat and they all caught their limit of crab and fish. They each got to keep 10 crab, so we had a total of 60 fresh whole crab and tons of fish to eat. We went and saw a lighthouse, and saw seals, sea lions and whales, we walked the boardwalk and played in the tide pools, catching little crabs and things.
We spent one evening on the beach where we started a fire and had hotdogs and smores for dinner and watched the sunset. It was so much fun, to relax in the sand and listen to the waves.
One of the beaches we went to was called Glass Beach, and it was really cool because back in the day it used to be a junk yard, and everyone used to dump their old cars and garbage there. Well they banned it from being a junk yard, but over the years, all the old garbage has been petrified into solid rock you can walk on and like little tide pools of sea creature life. And all of the glass has been broken and beat smooth by the ocean and washed up on shore, hence why they call it Glass Beach. You walk out onto it and it's small pieces of smooth glass. It literally looks like jewelry, it was really cool.
We spent almost a week there, and it was so much fun. We're going back in July and doing it all over again :)

Just in case you don't know how to solve the "baby hungry" feeling I have a little advice. "After many years of extensive research scientists have now proven that the leading cause of pregnancy is SEX" good luck trying. And if you aren't ready yet, come borrow my kids. I am sure they will cure that feeling!
Looks like you had a blast!!!! Cute pics.
