Thanksgiving dinner in May?

So Buck put in for the Turkey hunt this year, for his first time ever entering. He drew out and prepared for his hunt. Well his buddy ended up getting a Turkey at the beginning of the hunt, and we had things going on every weekend for the month of May so my poor hubby hung his head accepting the fact that he wouldn't get to go out hunting Turkeys this year. Well on friday night his buddy Kyle called him and said he knew where a turkey was, so last minute, they loaded up the car and drove 4 hours down to southern Utah by Boulder, and literally ran down a nature trail 2 miles into a canyon because they wanted to get out before dark. They made it to the bottom, and they used their turkey calls. Buck said that a huge Tom cam out of the trees and his head was bright red and his chest was puffed out, because he thought there was another male in his territory. Buck then dropped to one knee and sent the turkey to heaven with one shot to the head at 45 yards. They packed it out and brought home his trophy. Buck says he weighs about 35-40 lbs and he had a 9 inch beard, which is a pretty good prize. I'm so happy he was able to get one, because it broke my heart when he thought he wasn't going to be able to go :)

Hahaha. First off, they run UP the mountain, not down. Remember, it was very tough for both of them. lol. I love the pictures, you can tell they were at 4am. Kyles a little upset his name is not credited in this post. Good work Buck! I'm glad you boys found your huge trophy Turkey. Now maybe Kyle will stop talking about stinking hunting until August!

Congratulations Buck! Annalee if you didn't know that's right where we live. Have you ever been down here? It is a really pretty area.

Congrats to Buck. Did you cook the turkey for him? That's where I draw the line. They kill it, they can cook it! So, I feel bad because you asked me a question and I never answered back. Me and Rory are still planning on having more kids. I think we are taking a break for a couple of years though. What about you? Any kids anytime soon?
