This year, Valentines was an entire weekend for us. Because I wanted to celebrate all three days. So we did.
Friday: Buck had to work friday night until 11 PM and I got off work at 6 PM, so I used the time I had to clean the apartment. I wanted Friday to be our romantic night, so I got 100 tea candles (and not only did I not catch anything on fire, I didn't even spill any wax! Looks like being a firefighter is paying off because that would not have been the case for me 5 years ago) and some awesome fake red and pink rose petals and used them to make a walk way for him when he came home from work. I also spent about an hour making him a sweet tray of chocolate dipped goodies, like strawberries, pinapple, vanilla wafers, marshmellows and giant pretzel sticks. I had everything set up so when he came home, all the lights were off for him to follow the candle-lit path which led him into me and I fed him the chocolate dipped goodies and gave him a very long and over due massage while listening to some love songs including "Every Rose Has its Thorns" from Poisen because I thought it was hilarious, from my iPod in my Rockstick.
I was so happy because it all worked out so well. Especially compared to my disaster Valentines last year where I tried to make a breakfast from a Martha Stuart magazine and it was beyond nightmare-ish. And you'd think I'd learn and stop trying to do the things she does, but no, I keep trying them and also keep failing miserably. I've finally given up on her and kinda even hope she gets a kidney stone for being so amazing and good at everything. Or at least falls down some stairs.
Saturday:
Saturday morning I had to work in PG for a few hours but I was done by noon. After coming home and getting ready to go out, Buck gave me my Valentine's gifts, which were awesome! You can't see them on me but in these pictures I'm wearing the matching earrings and necklace I wanted really bad, and he came through! He always does though :)
Sunday morning, Buck snuck out of bed and while I was still sleeping he made and surprised me with breakfast in bed, with a big pink heart shaped egg, and bacon forming the word, LOVE, and pink milk. I loved it!
After we got home from church we had a way yummy dinner of shish-kabobs (spelling?) with chicken and shrimp and garlic mashed potatoes. So good

We had an awesome Valentines weekend! I'm so incredibly lucky to have my amazing husband who takes good care of me and spoils me. I love him so much
