We were able to go home to Oregon for again for thanksgiving this year, and sadly, quite possibly the last Thanksgiving ever spent in Oregon. Buck's parents are contemplating selling their home and moving to Idaho. They also want to serve an LDS mission together, so we'll see what the new year has in store for them. It was so fun to be home. I absolutely love being around Buck's family. Buck's oldest sister and her husband are moving to North Carolina at the beginning of the year, and although it's great for them, everyone is sad to see them go. Kallan was in heaven being able to play with his cousins for a week. He played so hard each day, and totally crashed every night. It was such a great trip, even though the boys were sick the entire time we were there.
This is us right before we sat down to eat Thanksgiving dinner. Both boys were sick with colds and sinus infections, so they slept through dinner.
My mother in law, and my two sisters in law are amazing cooks. Buck's little sister Torey barely left the kitchen every day we were there. Everything she makes is from scratch, and it's beyond amazing. She was so awesome and totally let me hover in the kitchen the entire time, teaching me as she cooked and baked. I learn more every time I'm around his family. These are only two of the many pies she made, and I tell you what, they are award winning. She also solved one of my great wonders that I've always had: have you ever wondered how marshmallows are made??? Well, I have wondered my whole life, and she made homemade marshmallows. Store-bought ones will never taste as good again.
We didn't want to cook one night we were there, so we order this: the mother-load of all pizzas. It fed a small army. AKA, Buck's family.
Such a great family vacation. I'm so looking forward to them living closer to us, so we can see them more and spend more time with them

"...I may not be a poet, 'cause I ain't so good on words. I may not stand before you like a Knight in Shining Armor. I may not be the best of Singers, there's better guys I've heard. I may not drive a Fancy car, I don't know what it's for. I may not be the one who gets to shower you with Diamonds. I may not be a Rich Man, but you can't call me Poor, 'cause I know how to Love You Well." -Tim Mcgraw
