Jace

It's time for an update on the littles! Jaceman turned 6 months old the day after Christmas. Half a year already.  He is doing awesome.  Still just my little angel baby.  He started eating solid foods just after New Year's.  With Kallan, my peditrician told me I could start him on solids anywhere from 4-6 months, and being super excited to give him baby food, we started right at 4 months.  Well then I noticed my milk supply drop dramatically.  With Jace, I didn't want my milk to drop, nor did I want to spend the money to buy more food so he stayed just on breast milk until 6 months.  It worked out however, because there were a few times I tried to give him some baby oatmeal to hold him over longer and he wouldn't even open his mouth to eat it, he just fought me instead.  And my milk supply is dropping a little, but not as much as it did with Kallan.  Waiting until 6 months was perfect because he was finally ready for solids.  He is harder to feed though, than Kallan ever was.

 He loves: sweet potatoes, and any of the fruit ones. Hates: Squash and baby oatmeal.

 I still get it ALL over his face because he moves so much, and spits it everywhere

 These are just some random pics from my phone that I snap, and I loved these. He was trying to look around my phone to see my face.  He is so busy now.  He's in the everything-goes-into-his-mouth phase and I love it.  I love seeing him reach for things, hold and play with toys, grab your face, etc.  He babbles and talks all day long, and is so happy, good natured, and patient.  Oh and tickelish.  Kallan wasn't tickelish until he was older.  He's pretty much sitting up on his own now, although he's a little unsteady and topples over onto his tummy.  He loves his binkie.  He always knows where it is and puts it in his mouth by himself.  He sleeps pretty much all night.  He's down for the night around 7 PM and wakes up to eat around 3 or 4 AM, but then he goes back down until 8 AM.

 He had his 6 month check up, and recieved 4 shots. He only cried for a minute though and was happy again. Jace's 6 month stats:

Hates: having his nose cleaned out, being fed, and pooping (he's constipated)

He is such an angel.  He brings me more happiness than I ever thought I could have. I find that I'm absorpbing things more with Jace than I did Kallan.  I loved every phase with Kallan, but it was all new and exciting so I loved going into the next phase.  With Jace, I kind of know what's coming, so I find myself trying to soak it all in before he moves on to the next phase. Like nursing, and just being a little baby in my arms, I soak it all it.  I'm more patient for the next phase to start.  I love having boys, and babies. Hmmm, maybe I need 5 or 6 more?? :)
