Christmas with Nana and Papa

This year, we were supposed to spend Christmas at Nana and Papa (Buck's parents)'s house in Idaho. They moved there a few months ago and we haven't been able to spend Christmas with them for the past four years or so, so this was going to be the boys' first Christmas out of state. Well, Buck's poor Grandma fell and broke her neck, right after Buck's nephew fell while playing at school and ruptured his kidney. Nana and Papa have been very busy these last few months. They spent a month back east in North Carolina, and then came home for only about a week, and then headed off to California to help Grandma. Meaning, they weren't going to be home for Christmas. Not a big deal or anything, just sad that we didn't get to spend it with Nana and Papa. But there's always next year:) So instead, they decided to have Christmas early, with us, here in Utah. They flew into Salt Lake from North Carolina, and got a hotel to spend one night here. They got us a room where they were staying, and we met them in Salt Lake when they landed. They took us to P.F. Changs for dinner, and then we headed over to Temple Square to see all the lights. We went back to our room and went to bed. Then the next morning, we had breakfast and then went swimming for a few hours before they had to head home to Idaho. It was a great alternate plan for Christmas

Nana and Papa gave them their presents while in the hotel room. Kallan got the blue ninja turtle piggy bank he's been asking for for-ever.

The pool wasn't heated, but eventually we all got in and warmed up by jumping and splashing. Then we warmed up in the hot tub. Such a fun little trip. Thanks Nana and Papa!
