PGFD Burn House

So a resident of Pleasant Grove donated a home he just bought to the Fire Dept. to demolish it for him. It would cost him close to $30,000 I was told to have it destroyed, but by donating it to us, we get to train in it and burn it down for him, for free. :) The house was dividing roughly into 3 parts, for each shift. So each Saturday for the next month or so, we'll be training here.

The first Saturday I was there, we breached through the walls, did bailouts (practiced repelling basically off the wall, but the purpose was to practice going out the window if you were ever trapped on an upper story in a fire) and we started a burn barrel on fire to fill the place with smoke and did right-hand searches and orientation drills. Later on we will start some of the interior on fire and put it out and then ultimately when we've trained all we can with the inside, we'll start the whole thing on fire and put it out. I'm totally stoked!

Here's the house we're burning

My mother in law actually lives next door in the condo's her window has the perfect view of the house, so we have watched you guys train in that house. Funny how small of a world it is.
