Well a couple weekends ago we visited my sister-in-law in Boise, and she has a little dwarf hampster. Buck played with it almost all weekend, so not really thinking he'd want to I asked him, "Well since you can't get a dog would you want a hampster?" and anticipating a big "NO" from him, I got instead, "Yeah!" So, we did. Only, we're both like two five year olds and when I found out he was serious I was like, well if you're getting a hampster, I want a hampster. Therefore....
Meet Jonny and June

They are sister Winter White Dwarf Hampsters. They're called winter whites because they turn white in the winter and brown in the summer. They're still getting used to us, and we still scare them but they are so cute. Jonny is bigger than June, and more brown. She's the one on the left in the pic above and June is on the right. She's smaller and more gray, and because she's smaller, Jonny picks on her right now. She'll pounce on her and June will just flop on her back and start squealing like crazy. But when I woke up this morning they were both in their truck like this getting along just fine. Yes, they're both girls, at least that's what Pet'smart told us, but we already had our names picked out for them. :)
Here is their fortress. Why so much? you may be thinking, but trust me, this is toned down. You should've seen Buck in the pet store and everything he wants for these two little things. He wants like 8 cages for them. They each have their own exercise ball, and it's hilarious to see them run around in them.
Here's the big cage. Jonny loves it. She runs all over the place constantly. June is still a litte scared of Jonny so she just burrows in the corner for now, but she's slowly warming up.

aww, cute!
I could have saved you some money, though...Sam's house currently has a mouse infestation and I'm sure she would be more than willing to let you keep one or two. or ten.
ha! That reminds me of the hampster off of BOLT. Sweet!
Those are so cute! I remember having hamsters!! I love the names you picked out for them!
Johnny and June.. that is perfect!! They sure are cute :)
oh so cute!! I want to come play with them! We had gerbils growing up and the last one kept eating his plastic house till he was homeless... poor little guy was on the streets after that. I guess he didn't mind cuz he loved the sawdust.
That is sweet. I love your hamsters, and their cool home.
They are so cute!!
You guys are so funny! I love their house! So the cabin in my pics is my parents cabin not Rory's. That is why it looked different. There isn't any DECON in the beds!!!
