Kallan's birthday was on a Saturday this year. It was right after my finals week, and the day before we left to go see family, so it was really low key. And it actually was super fun! Sometimes I plan and build things up so much in my head that when anything goes wrong, or deviates from the plan, then I get super stressed and feel like everything is going wrong. But when you just plan for a simple, easy day, then you don't really have any expectations, so everything just exceeds! Kallan woke up and we brought in our gift for him: a big boy bike!
Here he is waiting. We told him to turn around and close his eyes.Seeing it for the first time. It still has training wheels on here.
Buck took the training wheels off first thing, and Kallan took off! That little balance Strider bike he rode for so long helped so much. He told me that morning as I got him ready that he wanted a "special Birthday Mohawk." So I had to make it different then just any other mohawk, and orange is the only hair spray paint I could find, so he got an orange birthday mohawk.
We don't get to see my Grandma very much, so we went down to Fairview and had a little family get together at her house so she could see him open and celebrate his day.
This mustache wrapping paper was a hit! Everyone cut out a mustache and we had just as much fun with paper.
He is obsessed with TMNT right now. Especially the blue turtle, Leonardo. Hence why everything he got was Ninja Turtles. :)
This is one of my favortie pics of Tiny Man.
All my siblings were able to make it, and they sure did spoil him!
Jace had the sword and was "stabbing" everyone and thought it was so funny when they pretended they died. We both died in this picture haha
I am so excited for this age. Kallan is so smart, and fun, and such a great kid. I am so lucky to be the mother of boys.
Our best attempt at a family picture. I have to do this little party in two posts, because there are so many pictures that I just love.
