Our lives have recently become extra crazy and busy, adding one more little man to our family. I love the crazy and busy of being a mom of two, however I feel like me and Buck have started to become more like roommates rather than spouses. I know this can happen easily when kids come along and I really want to try to keep Buck as my spouse and make sure he's important and we spend time with one another. We sat down and talked the other night and realized that we really don't have something in common that we both enjoy and do together. We decided that it was time to make something in common. So we've decided on two hobbies to start off with that we can do together. The first one is bowling. Yes, bowling. Neither of us are very good but we think it would be really fun to learn and practice how to bowl well, and maybe someday join a bowling league once we can hold our own. We got the Bowling for Dummies book, and we're reading it together. The second, hunting. I chose to get into hunting with him because I actually grew up around hunting, with my dad, uncles and two brothers so I've always thought it would be fun, and because let's face it; can you see Buck trying to get into my hobbies? Sewing. Crafting. Painting. Blogging. Ha, riiiiight. And I wouldn't expect him to honestly, so this works better for both of us. Buck bought me a bow about 2 years ago and I never really did anything with it. Well now I am all set up on my bow with my own arrows and everything! I'm too late to go hunting this year, but deer watch out for next year because I'm-a-comin'!
Until next year however, I'm going to practice so I can become accurate, consistant, and strong. And I really enjoy it! Way more than I thought I would. It's really fun shooting a bow, I'm genuinely getting excited to go hunting.
It's been so fun already, just in the two days we've been shooting. Buck is an amazing teacher and very patient with me. He's way excited that I'm finally getting into it with him so it's already been fun. We talk and laugh and just enjoy each other. This was definately what we needed.
And, it turns out, I'm not that bad of a shot! I was aming for the very middle circle at first, and then the middle circle to the right, and ended up at least hitting the outside of the cirlces each time. Oh, and I never once missed the target. Not bad for my first time ever eh? I've only shot at 30 and 40 yards so far. Buck says I just need to work on getting familiar with shooting my bown and practice being consistant every time I shoot.
And little man even joined in on the fun! So adorable. I love how much he loves his daddy
So I wanted to get a family pic, but Jace had been on the porch with my mom, fussing and crying for over 20 minutes until my mom finally rocked him to sleep. So when I said a wanted a family pic and when to grab Jace, my mom told me, no way, because she had finally, just barely got him to sleep. So we really do have him in our family, he's just snoozing :)

I think its FANTASTIC you guys were able to NOTICE what was happening and talk about it before it progressed. I think that says a lot about you two as a couple. And a chick shooting a bow? sexy!! haha. i'm sure he thinks so anyway :)
