Pure Luck!!

So about a week ago, Buck had his younger sister who lives in Boise, Idaho, put a package in the mail for my birthday. I was oblivious to the whole thing up until about 2 days ago. Buck kept bugging me about checking the mail, and asking if we had recieved a package, and when I kept saying no, he asked me to ask our landlords, in which they too had not seen any packages. So Buck let me in on his secret and told me that the package he was waiting on was actually my package, with my birthday present in it. Now to thicken the plot, he informed me there was about $400 worth of gifts, in my package. So now I'm very tuned in and begin to help him figure out where this expensive birthday surprise has gone. Well, after many phone calls to his sister and the post office, we find out that she accidentally wrote the first part of our address as north instead of south, so the post office marked it as a bad address and kept it. At the post office, one poor guy who's actual job is to sit and try to figure out what address it should've been ends up finding and calling a Blake Ashby in Orem. Ha well it wasn't my Blake. So this Blake Ashby goes to the post office, very confused to be getting a package, looks at the return address and my sister-in-law didn't put her name, just her address, and realizes he has some friends in Boise. So he signs the slip, takes it home and opens it, only to find boxes wrapped with birthday paper inside. Now really confused, this very nice Blake Ashby tried calling Ashbys in the phone book, in which we're not listed (we only have our cell phones) with out having any success in finding out who this package belongs to. I didn't find any of this out until tonight. On my final call to the post office, the post man finally figures out that a Blake Ashby came and picked up the package yesterday at one pm. But that's all the information he has. So I pulled out the phone book, looked up the only Blake Ashby in Orem and low and behold it's him. His sweet wife answers and I explain I'm looking for a package (awkward phone call) and she was just as excited as I was to solve where this mystery package came from. So I went to their house, in which they don't even live in Orem anymore, so I'm lucky they have the same phone number, and they gave me my package. They were super nice and they explained to me what I just typed in this blog.

The lost, mystery, surprise, birthday package. :) So now for the question I'm sure you're all wondering...what's in the package that's so expensive? Well as you can see below after pulling out smaller boxes out of the bigger box, I had 3 wrapped boxes.

My sister-in-law is a beautician (she's awesome) in Boise, so she was able to get us a really good deal on a brand new state-of-the-art straightener, (it's a ghd) and 2 very nice curling irons, different sizes. (I wanted 2 different sizes, I know, I'm wierd) Buck happened to hear me tell someone or remembered me saying to him I wanted differents sizes of nice curling irons. So my amazing hubby hooked me up. I was so sick when I thought that package was gone, and SOOO relieved to get it back tonight. We're totally lucky to even have these things right now. Today was awesome for me, my parents came up from Fairview and took Buck and I out to lunch and then me and my mom went shopping for the day. I couldn't have had a better day :) Thanks mom, dad, and Buck!!

Hey...sorry for being a lame friend and missing your birthday! I suck at things like that, Zack is lucky he was born on halloween... other wise I would miss his too! You are so lucky to get that stuff... I am saving every spear penny I get to buy a CHI. And you are so awesome with hair...so that is such a perfect and thoughtful gift! Also, thanks for the tip about the pictures. If I ever get a wedding she is hired for sure! (if that is ok with you...I would hate to be a copy cat!) Anyhoo...happy day you!
