Sand Dunes

This is us in one of the Sandrales. These things scoot accross the sand.
This is Sand Mountain. Below is a shot of the view from the top of the Mt.

So back to re-capping our summer, I thought I'd post a blog about one our most favorite passtimes we love to do during the summer. Campin' at the Sand Dunes. For our wedding Buck and I each got all new Fox brand riding gear, which is quite comical because neither of us are very good. He is better than I am however. My whole family goes out there and we all bring our fourwheelers, Rhinos, and sandrales and our camping trailers (or tent if you're me and Buck) and have an awesome weekend. On our last trip out there however we had quite the scare.

We were all sitting around our camp fire in the dark, but there were still people out riding up Sand Mountain. I don't know if you've ever been to the dunes, but it's not exactly the safest time to ride, at night, to state the obvious because it's darker, harder to see. Well my younger brother Kolton decided to go with a couple of our camp crew on a night ride. The next thing we knew, one of the guys who was riding with Kolton flew up on his fourwheeler screaming for my dad. The camp erupted in chaos and all I could understand was that my brother was in a head-on collision on the mountain and things didn't look good. I looked over towards the mountain to see every fourwheeler that had been riding on it all in a circle pointing their lights to see the mess in the middle. I was sick. So we all jumped on something ridable and cruised over. My sisters were crying and my other brother was quiet and pale.

In the end it turned out being a dramatic mis-conception. There was indeed a head-on collision on the mountian, only Kolton wasn't involved. It happened right next to him, and it was kinda funny to see the confused look on his face when everyone from our camp showed up concerned for him. Above are some shots of us in our new gear, taken before the whole Kolton scare went down.

WOW! You guys are pretty hard core! It is so amazing how Buck just fits right in... it's as if he was made for your family! Almost to the point that people might think you are making out with your brother... so just be cautious of that! HA... just kidding! Question... who took your engagment pictures? They are so sweet, but it wouldn't be hard to take beautiful pictures of bautiful people.
